Conditions behind the Great Firewall change without notice. Every figure here is dated — check how we verify before you rely on it.

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 August 2026

This site is operated by the Great Firewall Guide team, based in Norway. The short version: we do not ask you for personal information, we do not run advertising networks, and we do not sell anything directly. The detail below explains the few places where data is nonetheless involved.

What we do not collect

  • No accounts, logins or registration.
  • No newsletter, and no email collection forms.
  • No advertising networks and no retargeting pixels.
  • No comments, uploads or user-submitted content of any kind.

Server logs

The site is served by Firebase Hosting (Google) behind Cloudflare. Both retain standard access logs, which typically include your IP address, the page requested, timestamp, referrer and user agent. These are generated by the hosting infrastructure rather than by us, are used for delivery and abuse prevention, and are retained according to those providers' own policies.

Analytics

If analytics are in use on this site, they are cookieless and aggregate — recording page views, country and referrer without setting identifiers or building a profile of you. No analytics cookie is placed on your device, which is why you will not see a cookie consent banner.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links to VPN and eSIM providers are affiliate links. If you click one and later purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Every such link is disclosed on the page where it appears.

Clicking an affiliate link takes you to a tracking redirect operated by an affiliate network — currently Impact, and potentially CJ Affiliate or a merchant's own system. Those networks set their own cookies or identifiers on the destination domain in order to attribute the referral. That processing is controlled by the network and the merchant, not by us, and is governed by their privacy policies. We receive only aggregate commission reporting; we never see your name, payment details or what you bought.

You can avoid this entirely by navigating to any provider directly rather than through our links. Nothing on this site is gated behind an affiliate click.

Your rights

Where the GDPR applies, you have the right to access, correct, erase and port your personal data, and to object to its processing. Because we hold no user database, in practice there is usually nothing for us to return or delete — but you are welcome to ask, and requests about the infrastructure logs described above will be passed to the relevant provider. You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.

Changes

Material changes to this policy will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.

Who runs this site

We publish under a team name rather than an individual one. This site covers censorship circumvention, and naming a person invites pressure that has nothing to do with whether the information here is accurate. It is a deliberate choice, not an attempt to dodge accountability: the email below is monitored, corrections are published rather than made silently, and we are reachable for any legal or data-protection request.
